Insurance Examiner Technician Program

Insurance Examination Program

Students will learn about the duties and responsibilities, process of examination and confidentiality regulations as they relate to the job of an insurance examiner; common health status alterations as they relate to the body systems; taking and recording vital signs; duties and responsibilities of phlebotomy and electrocardiography; and the nervous system. 

Students will master the following skill sets: completing a medical history; taking and recording weight, height and vital signs; collecting urine specimens; performing venipuncture and capillary puncture; performing an EKG; observing infection control procedures; and safely disposing of sharps and hazardous waste. Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the MedCA certification exam.
